Title I & Every Student Succeeds Act (ESSA) 2015
Title I is a federally funded program designed to assist struggling students and students performing below grade level in reading and math. All Title I services and programs are supplemental to regular classroom instruction.
Grade levels served: K–8, in both reading and math.
Instructional approach: Title I teachers are trained in a variety of research-based instructional methods to meet individual student needs.
Delivery of services: Services are provided one-on-one, in small groups (3–4 students) outside the classroom, and through push-in support within the classroom.
